Long-Distance Moving
Dedicated truck, GPS tracking, one coordinator — from South Florida to anywhere in the country.
Miami · Fort Lauderdale · Boca Raton
Long-distance moves demand a level of logistics discipline that most companies don't provide. We assign a dedicated truck to your move — no shared loads, no depot stops — and give you one coordinator from Miami pickup through final delivery. Real-time GPS tracking, daily status updates, and a defined delivery window keep you informed at every stage. We regularly move clients from South Florida to New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and points beyond.
What’s Included
Long-distance moves out of South Florida are different from local work in three ways: distance pricing, dedicated truck logistics, and delivery window honesty. Most national van lines quote a low price, then load your goods on a truck shared with three other families, then deliver in a 2-week window that stretches to 4. EasyMove Elite doesn't operate that way. Your goods travel on a dedicated truck that's loaded, driven, and unloaded by the same crew. We give you a delivery window before we commit, and we hit it.
We've moved clients from South Florida to the Northeast (NY, NJ, MA, CT), the mid-Atlantic (DC, MD, VA, PA), the Southeast (GA, NC, SC, TN), and the Midwest (IL, OH, MI). Long-distance pricing starts at $1,200 minimum for short interstate hauls and scales with distance, volume, and access at both ends. Every long-distance quote is custom — no online calculator estimates that change on move day.
Why EasyMove Elite for Long-Distance Moving
Dedicated truck — no shared loads
Your goods are loaded onto a truck reserved exclusively for your move, driven directly to destination, and unloaded by the same crew. No relay warehouse transfers. No mixed loads with other families' belongings. No 2-week delays because the truck has to drop off three other moves first.
Honest delivery windows
We commit to a delivery window before you book — typically a 1-3 day window depending on distance. We hit it because we control the schedule. National van lines quote 7-14 day windows that stretch because the truck has multiple stops; we don't have that problem.
En-route check-ins
Your coordinator stays in contact with the driver throughout the trip and updates you with location and ETA daily. You're not wondering where your stuff is.
Transit insurance included
Standard cargo insurance is included on every long-distance move. Higher-value coverage (full replacement, declared value) is available — we'll discuss what makes sense based on your goods.
How It Works
- 1
In-person or video survey
For long-distance moves over $3,000, we strongly recommend an in-person or video walk-through to confirm volume. This is what makes the estimate accurate. Web-form-only estimates routinely come in 30-50% under actual.
- 2
Custom written quote
We send a written quote within 24 hours of survey. Quote includes pickup date, delivery window, total cost (no hourly billing on long-distance), insurance coverage, and any optional services (packing, crating, storage between dates).
- 3
Booking and packing prep
After you book, we coordinate packing dates if you've added packing service, and confirm building/HOA paperwork at both origin and destination if either has restrictions.
- 4
Load day
Crew arrives at origin with the dedicated truck. Inventory walk-through and labeling. Floor protection. Loading. Final walk-through and confirmation. Truck departs same day.
- 5
Transit and en-route updates
Coordinator sends daily location/ETA updates. For most South Florida → Northeast routes, transit is 2-3 days. South Florida → Midwest is 3-4 days.
- 6
Delivery
Crew arrives at destination within the committed window. Inventory check against load list. Unloading. Furniture placement. Reassembly of disassembled items. Final walk-through and payment.

Common Questions
How long does a move from Miami to New York take?
Transit time is typically 2-3 days. Total move including loading and unloading: 3-5 days. We commit to a 1-3 day delivery window before you book, and we hit it because the truck is dedicated to your move only.
Do you offer flat-rate or hourly pricing for long-distance?
Long-distance moves are flat-rate — quoted as a single price based on distance, volume, and access. Hourly billing only applies to local moves under 100 miles. You know your total cost before booking.
Will my belongings be on a shared truck?
No. Every long-distance move travels on a truck reserved exclusively for your goods. The same crew loads, drives, and unloads — no relay warehouses or mixed loads.
What about insurance for valuable items?
Standard cargo insurance is included. For high-value items (art, antiques, jewelry), we recommend full replacement or declared value coverage — your coordinator walks you through options before booking.
Do you do moves to international destinations?
For overseas moves, we handle the Miami-side packing, loading, and freight forwarder coordination. Ocean and air transport are handled by licensed international freight specialists. See our International Moving page for details.
South Florida has unique long-distance traffic patterns: Florida → New York is our most common route, especially during snowbird season (October-December and April-May). We schedule around peak periods to keep delivery windows tight. We've also done many South Florida → Texas, → Tennessee (Nashville), and → North Carolina (Charlotte, Raleigh) moves driven by relocation trends.
